Sizing for the Powerstep UltraStretch Plantar Fasciitis Night Sock

The Powerstep UltraStretch Plantar Fasciitis Night Sock comes in 2 sizes, to find your size measure the  circumference around largest part of calf.

  • Regular - Up to 16”
  • Large - 16 - 21”

Instructions for using the Powerstep UltraStretch Plantar Fasciitis Night Sock

  1. Unfasten both straps and slide sock over foot and calf with the calf band centered on the front of the leg. The sock should rest just under the knee and should not be pulled so tightly that it comes over the knee.
  2. Fasten the calf band closure so it is comfortably secured.
  3. Rest foot on the floor at a 90-degree ankle and pull the adjustable dorsiflexion strap so that it lifts the toes up approximately 1” off the floor.
  4. You will not feel a noticeable stretch in this position. The dorsiflexion strap will provide a gentle stretch naturally as the foot slowly begins to contract and the toes extend downward. If the sock feels uncomfortable or too tight, slightly loosen the dorsiflexion strap.

Insole Sizing Guide

Our Guide to Finding the Perfect Size and Fit

Using Your Shoe Size

For most of our insoles, the easiest way to find the best size for you is to go off of your current shoe size. The majority of our insoles are available in a range of sizes and you can simply select the size that best fits your existing shoes.

Please be aware that, as with shoes, there can be slight variations in the size of insoles. For example a size 8 of one brand might not be exactly the same size and width as the size 8 of another. To help account for these discrepancies, a number of our insoles include dimensions to help you ensure you're getting the right size.

Measuring Your Current Insoles

While using your shoe size to find your best size is a good guide, it is not always foolproof. If you want to guarantee that your insole fit your shoes as closely as possible, we recommend measuring your existing insole and using this as a guide to your size.

To do this, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Remove the existing insole from the shoes you wish to use your new insoles with (please note that not all insoles are removable)
  2. Measure the insoles at their longest and widest points (see the below diagram for an idea of where this will be
  3. Match the measurements to the dimensions of the insoles listed, and choose the size that best fits your results

How to measure your insoles

Where Can I Find the Dimensions?

The dimensions for insoles can be found on the "Product Details" tab (please see below) and are usually found in the sizing section of the listing, in a table. Please be aware that not all products currently have the dimensions listed.

Product Details Example
The dimensions of insoles can usually be found on the "Product Details" tab

What If There Are No Dimensions Listed?

If you do not see the dimensions listed on the Product Details tab, please fill in the form below and we will work to get the relevant information as quickly as possible. We will email you once we have the information that you have requested.

Trimming Your Insoles to Fit

To get the ultimate level of fit from your insoles, you can trim them to make a small adjustment. To trim your insoles, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Remove your existing insoles from your shoes
  2. Line up your existing and new insoles at the heel
  3. Trace the outline of the insoles against the new pair at the toe end (see the image below for an example)
  4. Carefully cut along the traced line
  5. Your insoles should now fit your shoes better

Trace the outline of your existing insoles
Carefully trace the outline of your insole

Please note that not all insoles are suitable for trimming. Most insoles are unsuitable for return once they have been trimmed to fit; we recommend bearing this in mind prior to trimming.

If you would like a more detailed guide to trimming your insoles, please read our full guide on How to Trim Your Insoles.

Saw this product advertised and decided to give it a try. Only used a few times so far and although not miraculous I do find it has helped somewhat with long lasting plantar faciitis pain. Tried exercises, shock wave treatment, elastic wraps and finally noticing improvement. I would have liked to discover this product earlier to better assess its effectiveness but currently happy with purchase.

Powerstep UltraStretch Plantar Fasciitis Night Sock
Rating:
05 August 2021  |  Sarah

This sock is a good idea, but i found it uncomfortable as my second toe took all the pressure as it is longer than my big toe, which made this uncomfortable. Great for my less affected foot as no long second toe.
As the other reviewers say, the sock is quite warm in bed and quite long - I am 5 ft 7 and it fits right to the top of my lower leg.
Shoeinsoles have really good quick delivery times and their descriptions of the items online are good. I have ordered quite a few insoles from them now - ive not had to send anything back yet, as all good.

shame they dont sell small
Rating:
20 July 2017  |  T

Had to get a medium (smallest they do) but being only 5'3" with short legs means it is at least 4-5" too long. I double fold it over around the ankle area. I assume it's doing the same job.The velcro is really scratchy under the knees so I pull the top of the sock over it slightly.

It's quite warm to wear but not uncomfortable. I am not entirely sure I have my foot at the correct angle, but I'm hoping it will help. fingers crossed XX

After more than 3 months of more or less continual pain I have felt an improvement after just 5 nights of wearing the Night Sock. Seems like it could well be a winner.

Plantar fasciitis sock
Rating:
12 October 2016  |  Diane

I was recommended to try this type of sock to help with my heel pain. The sock is quite warm to wear in bed, I found it a bit long in that I am only 5ft tall. However, it seems to help, it doesn't disrupt my sleep and my foot has improved through a combination of physio exercises and using the sock.

ShoeInsoles.co.uk were very good, efficient and rebated promptly to my account some money owed due to the original product I ordered being no longer available. Overall pleased with the product and with ShoeInsoles.
