Langer Metatarsal Pads
Getting specific care for foot conditions is an incredibly important part of getting the right insole. The Langer Metatarsal Pads have been developed to provide extra support to the metatarsals when used with Langer PPT insoles.
Features of the Langer Metatarsal Pads
The metatarsal pads provide extra support to the metatarsals, cushioning the metatarsal heads and giving them extra protection .
Who Can Benefit from Langer Metatarsal Pads?
The extra support to the metatarsals the pads provide enables them to give relief for:
- Metatarsalgia
- Capsulitis
- Neuroma
- Atrophy of the fat pad
They're also suitable for other painful conditions of the metatarsal area.
Are These Metatarsal Pads Suitable for Atrophy of the Fat Pad?
A thinning fat pad can be the cause of a lot of pain and discomfort in your forefoot. By offering additional cushioning and support to this area of your foot, these metatarsal pads help to reduce pain and discomfort.
Where Should I Apply the Metatarsal Supports?
These metatarsal supports should be placed at the beginning of your arch near the forefoot. The flatter edge should be positioned just behind your metatarsal heads at the ball of your foot, with the tapered edge pointing towards your heel. The diagram below shows a general guide that will vary based on your insoles and foot shape.

For Langer PPT Insoles
The metatarsal pads have been developed for the Langer PPT range of insoles, and should not be used with other insoles. Please note that this component must be fitted by a medical professional.
The metatarsal pads are available in three different sizes, to match the size of the insole it should be used with.
The Langer Metatarsal Pads come in a pack of six pairs.
