Our Guide to Finding the Perfect Size and Fit

Using Your Shoe Size

For most of our insoles, the easiest way to find the best size for you is to go off of your current shoe size. The majority of our insoles are available in a range of sizes and you can simply select the size that best fits your existing shoes.

Please be aware that, as with shoes, there can be slight variations in the size of insoles. For example a size 8 of one brand might not be exactly the same size and width as the size 8 of another. To help account for these discrepancies, a number of our insoles include dimensions to help you ensure you're getting the right size.

Measuring Your Current Insoles

While using your shoe size to find your best size is a good guide, it is not always foolproof. If you want to guarantee that your insole fit your shoes as closely as possible, we recommend measuring your existing insole and using this as a guide to your size.

To do this, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Remove the existing insole from the shoes you wish to use your new insoles with (please note that not all insoles are removable)
  2. Measure the insoles at their longest and widest points (see the below diagram for an idea of where this will be
  3. Match the measurements to the dimensions of the insoles listed, and choose the size that best fits your results

Where Can I Find the Dimensions?

The dimensions for insoles can be found on the "Product Details" tab (please see below) and are usually found in the sizing section of the listing, in a table. Please be aware that not all products currently have the dimensions listed.

Trimming Your Insoles to Fit

To get the ultimate level of fit from your insoles, you can trim them to make a small adjustment. To trim your insoles, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Remove your existing insoles from your shoes
  2. Line up your existing and new insoles at the heel
  3. Trace the outline of the insoles against the new pair at the toe end (see the image below for an example)
  4. Carefully cut along the traced line
  5. Your insoles should now fit your shoes better

Trace the outline of your existing insoles
Carefully trace the outline of your insole

Please note that not all insoles are suitable for trimming. Most insoles are unsuitable for return once they have been trimmed to fit; we recommend bearing this in mind prior to trimming.

If you would like a more detailed guide to trimming your insoles, please read our full guide on How to Trim Your Insoles.

Made my supernation worse
Friday, 27 May 2022  |  Sean

I got recommended these by my physio therapist as I get pain on the out side of my feet we I go on long runs, 8-9 miles is when the pain normal sets in, all I can think about while running at this point is the pain so onto why I've put a 1 star review it would be ZERO if I could these insoles do not help people who suffer from supernation but make it worse, I went on my normal 10km mid week run within HALF A MILE my feet where killing me to the point I felt like stopping I've never had to stop on a run ever, these are not the correct insoles for supernation even if they advise they are but here's the best bit as THEY DO NOT TAKE RETURNS, I'm 20 out of pocket with insoles unfit for purpose.

my advice SHOPP ELSE WHERE.

Hi Sean,

Many thanks for leaving a review with us. We are sorry to hear these insoles didn't work out for you. These insoles are specifically designed to treat supination and pronation, depending on your condition and how the insoles are positioned inside your shoes. We have a guide on our product page that details how to correctly align these insoles to treat both conditions. We recommend consulting this guide before purchasing to ensure the correct condition is being addressed.

Again, we are sorry that these insoles didn't work out for you.

Kind regards,

Seth at ShoeInsoles.co.uk

Inner soles
Wednesday, 23 February 2022  |  Dee

These insoles seem to be for feet that turn inwards as they have a sticky side that would adhere to the shoe. My feet list outwards so if I take the plastic cover off they will stick to my foot. I think the outer edge could be more firm

Response:

Hi Dee,

Thankyou for leaving a review with us. We're sorry to hear you are having trouble with your insoles but we think we can help.

It sounds like you are suffering with over-supination (where the foot tends to lean outward) rather than over-pronation (where the foot leans inwards).

Thankfully, Rehband QD Wedges are designed for use in both shoes to combat either of these conditions. Swapping your insoles to the opposite shoe should help provide support at the outside of your foot instead of the inside.

We hope this information helps and thanks again for leaving a review with us!

Insoles
Wednesday, 8 December 2021  |  Carol

These insoles are made of a gel and structured to really reset the position of the foot to counter the overpronation in each shoe. They are the best insoles I have tried for this condition. They take up some volume in the shoes because they are so thick but there is no way round that to get the pronounced effect of the correction to the foot. They should only be worn for a few hours at a time because they do have a dramatic impact on foot alignment. It is early days to confirm the impact of using them long term but I think that they will help correct the condition. The soles are sticky so that you can fasten them to your shoe. I found the glue was very poor at sticking but I find this beneficial because I can keep swapping them between shoes.

The only Pronation / Supination supports to consider
Sunday, 5 December 2021  |  Chris

I have been using these insoles for about 3 years now and regard them as the only ones to consider buying. Their sculptured shape allowing them to be used in most shoes. They're very hard wearing and their slightly tacky backing can be easily revived by washing. I certainly won't be buying any other type of support.

Excellent
Monday, 22 November 2021  |  Jacqui

Having been suffering with painful feet for quite awhile. Have a job where I walk a lot and or am on my feet for hours.
Thought these were a little expensive at first, but after wearing them for a week they are now value for money. My feet are not painful until I wear my other shoes without them.
Going to purchase another pair.
