Size Guide for the Pedag Supra Tongue Pads

Pedag Supra Tongue Pads are available in two different sizes. Please select your desired size from the dropdown at the top of the page when purchasing.

  • Small/Medium (Generally for women)
  • Large/Extra Large (Generally for men)

What Are Pedag Tongue Pads Designed to Do?

Pedag Supra Pads are a podiatric solution designed to sit inside the shoe at the area underneath the laces, providing cushioning and relief for those suffering with cysts, blisters and fatigue.

They are not a full length insole; they are a simple to apply pad designed to sit underneath the laces to stop rubbing, chaffing and a build up of irritation in that area.

How Do Pedag Supra Forefoot Pads Work?

Resting underneath the laces, these pads prevent this often hard part of the shoe from rubbing against the top of your foot. This type of pain is most common when wearing new leather shoes that haven't been broken in or softened yet.

What Symptoms and Issues do Pedag Supra Pads Prevent?

Please view the list below for an idea of just how many conditions, symptoms and issues Pedag Supra Insoles can assist with:

  • Blisters
  • Chaffing
  • Cysts
  • "Digging" Laces
  • Fatigue
  • Forefoot Irritation
  • Metatarsal Row Inflammation
  • Poorly Fitted Work Shoes
  • Slipping
  • Tight Smart Shoes

What Are Pedag Supra Pads Made From?

To maximise the amount of cushioning provided, Pedag Supra Pads use a soft and bouncy memory foam core to absorb pressure and prevent rubbing ruining your day. They are made with a suede and vegetable tanned leather outer which ensures they do not break down or fray over time.

What Type of Shoes Will Pedag Pads Fit Inside?

Although they are designed for use with smart leather shoes, Pedag Supra Pads are suitable for use with any style of footwear. They are most applicable with smart and dress style shoes because they are made from leather, which tends to be tough and inflexible, causing the tongue and lace area to dig into the top of your foot.

Can Supra Pads Be Used in Multiple Shoes?

While the adhesive on these Tongue Pads will last through a number of applications, with each removal and application the adhesive will wear down. We recommend using a separate pair of pads for each pair of shoes you intend to use them with.

Our Guide to Finding the Perfect Size and Fit

Using Your Shoe Size

For most of our insoles, the easiest way to find the best size for you is to go off of your current shoe size. The majority of our insoles are available in a range of sizes and you can simply select the size that best fits your existing shoes.

Please be aware that, as with shoes, there can be slight variations in the size of insoles. For example a size 8 of one brand might not be exactly the same size and width as the size 8 of another. To help account for these discrepancies, a number of our insoles include dimensions to help you ensure you're getting the right size.

Measuring Your Current Insoles

While using your shoe size to find your best size is a good guide, it is not always foolproof. If you want to guarantee that your insole fit your shoes as closely as possible, we recommend measuring your existing insole and using this as a guide to your size.

To do this, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Remove the existing insole from the shoes you wish to use your new insoles with (please note that not all insoles are removable)
  2. Measure the insoles at their longest and widest points (see the below diagram for an idea of where this will be
  3. Match the measurements to the dimensions of the insoles listed, and choose the size that best fits your results

How to measure your insoles

Where Can I Find the Dimensions?

The dimensions for insoles can be found on the "Product Details" tab (please see below) and are usually found in the sizing section of the listing, in a table. Please be aware that not all products currently have the dimensions listed.

Product Details Example
The dimensions of insoles can usually be found on the "Product Details" tab

What If There Are No Dimensions Listed?

If you do not see the dimensions listed on the Product Details tab, please fill in the form below and we will work to get the relevant information as quickly as possible. We will email you once we have the information that you have requested.

Trimming Your Insoles to Fit

To get the ultimate level of fit from your insoles, you can trim them to make a small adjustment. To trim your insoles, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Remove your existing insoles from your shoes
  2. Line up your existing and new insoles at the heel
  3. Trace the outline of the insoles against the new pair at the toe end (see the image below for an example)
  4. Carefully cut along the traced line
  5. Your insoles should now fit your shoes better

Trace the outline of your existing insoles
Carefully trace the outline of your insole

Please note that not all insoles are suitable for trimming. Most insoles are unsuitable for return once they have been trimmed to fit; we recommend bearing this in mind prior to trimming.

If you would like a more detailed guide to trimming your insoles, please read our full guide on How to Trim Your Insoles.

Good padding.
Tuesday, 25 January 2022  |  Lynette

These are easy to fit and provide good padding. I use them because the tongue in my boots were moving slightly to one side and the exposed seam was rubbing on my feet, but these pads have sorted the problem.

Perfect for Summer loafers

Loafers a touch too loose on the foot? Especially with a thin invisible sock. Create a perfect snug fit with these.

Fixed my cycling shoes
Friday, 19 June 2020  |  Howard

I had trouble with my cycling shoes not being snug enough due to my shallow feet. A pair of these attached to the tongues, coupled with heel grips made the fit much more snug and stopped my feet from moving around in the shoes. A cost effective and comfortable way of saving a pair of shoes.

Fantastic product
Tuesday, 19 May 2020  |  Craig

Really pleased with the Pedag Supra Tongue Pads. I recently bought a pair of cycling shoes which fitted perfect except for the uncomfortable tongue which was very firm and would dig in on both feet. After a few miles the pain was very uncomfortable when cycling. But since purchasing the pads, that pain has completely gone and I am able to ride for hours in complete comfort. Definetly recommend these.

Tongue pads
Wednesday, 15 May 2019  |  Judy

I recently bought a pair of walking shoes with very stiff tongues which rubbed my feet. Having tried to improvise with pieces of cut-up foam, which kept falling off, I found the shoe insoles page and ordered some of their self-adhesive tongue pads. They arrived more quickly than I had dared to hope, and as I spend a lot of my day walking on a slightly bumpy field they have made a lot of difference to my poor feet. I would recommend them to anyone, as they are very reasonably priced. Judy
