How Do the Pedag Sneaker Memory Foam Insoles Work?

To provide you with unbeatable comfort and support, the Pedag Sneaker Magic Step Insoles feature five layers.

Layers of the Pedag Sneaker Magic Step Insoles

  • Bamboo Terrycloth: The top layer of the Sneaker Insoles is a terrycloth made from bamboo fibres, providing a silky soft surface that is breathable and absorbent. Bamboo absorbs 60% more moisture and dries 20% quicker than standard cotton, keeping your feet dry and comfy.
  • Extra-Soft Memory Foam: Providing cushioning across your entire foot, the layer of memory foam is lightweight and supportive. Memory foam is designed with a "high restoring force", which means that the insoles don't lose their shape, even after prolonged use.
  • Heel Pad: Each insole includes a shock-absorbing heel pad that can reduce the amount of strain place on your heel, joints, hip, neck and spine during your daily life.
  • Metatarsal Pad: As well as a heel pad, the insoles also feature a shock-absorbing metatarsal pad that can reduce pain in the ball of foot and prevent splayfoot.
  • Anatomical Arch Support: Last but by no means least, the Pedag Magic Step Insoles feature a rigid arch support that efficiently supports the arch of your foot to prevent fatigue and arch pain.

Our Guide to Finding the Perfect Size and Fit

Using Your Shoe Size

For most of our insoles, the easiest way to find the best size for you is to go off of your current shoe size. The majority of our insoles are available in a range of sizes and you can simply select the size that best fits your existing shoes.

Please be aware that, as with shoes, there can be slight variations in the size of insoles. For example a size 8 of one brand might not be exactly the same size and width as the size 8 of another. To help account for these discrepancies, a number of our insoles include dimensions to help you ensure you're getting the right size.

Measuring Your Current Insoles

While using your shoe size to find your best size is a good guide, it is not always foolproof. If you want to guarantee that your insole fit your shoes as closely as possible, we recommend measuring your existing insole and using this as a guide to your size.

To do this, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Remove the existing insole from the shoes you wish to use your new insoles with (please note that not all insoles are removable)
  2. Measure the insoles at their longest and widest points (see the below diagram for an idea of where this will be
  3. Match the measurements to the dimensions of the insoles listed, and choose the size that best fits your results

Where Can I Find the Dimensions?

The dimensions for insoles can be found on the "Product Details" tab (please see below) and are usually found in the sizing section of the listing, in a table. Please be aware that not all products currently have the dimensions listed.

Trimming Your Insoles to Fit

To get the ultimate level of fit from your insoles, you can trim them to make a small adjustment. To trim your insoles, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Remove your existing insoles from your shoes
  2. Line up your existing and new insoles at the heel
  3. Trace the outline of the insoles against the new pair at the toe end (see the image below for an example)
  4. Carefully cut along the traced line
  5. Your insoles should now fit your shoes better

Trace the outline of your existing insoles
Carefully trace the outline of your insole

Please note that not all insoles are suitable for trimming. Most insoles are unsuitable for return once they have been trimmed to fit; we recommend bearing this in mind prior to trimming.

Not really suitable for splayfoot
Friday, 10 June 2022  |  Jessica

Bought a Women's size 7, it's too short for all of my shoes and it's completely the wrong shape for my foot condition. Splayfoot means that the end of the foot is exceptionally wide...so we need an insole that's wider than average. These insoles get narrower at the end, more narrow than a normal foot so my large toe, small toe and outer sections of my foot are hanging off the edge. This can be felt inside the shoe. It's a shame too because they would have been really comfortable if they were the correct shape.

Response:

Hi Jessica,

Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review with us. We really appreciate it. We are sorry to hear that you're not 100% satisfied with your purchase and that these insoles haven't made your condition any better.

These insoles are recommended for splayfoot due to their memory foam construction that is designed to cushion the metartarsal region of the foot, thus providing relief to the area underneath the metatarsal row. Unfortunately, as we are unable to see every customer and assess their requirements individually, it is difficult to advise regarding the extent of their condition.

If you are requiring a wide insole to accommodate your feet and condition, we have a selection of extra-wide insoles that also cushion and cradle the metatarsal row. You can view these by clicking the link here: Insoles for Wide Feet

You can also view our top selections for individuals with wide feet by following the link here: Our Top 5 Insoles for Wide Feet

We hope this information helps and that you are able to find a pair of insoles that work for you soon.

Many thanks,

Seth at ShoeInsoles.co.uk
