Drop Foot Peroneal Neuropathies Dysfunctional Gait
The Boxia Drop Foot AFO Brace provides a comfortable and cosmetic method for treating drop foot. The device blends well with every day clothing whilst still providing full functionality. The Boxia brace does not occupy space in the shoe and is easily adjusted.
The Boxia support raises the forefoot, providing vital foot clearance during the swing phase of your gait. This reduces the risk of tripping over such everyday items such as rugs, kerbs and uneven surfaces. The Boxia encourages natural gait pattern by allowing normal ankle movement when stepping on the foot (plantar flexion).
It is not suitable for spastic paralysis and circulatory/sensory disorders.
Features and Benefits of the Boxia Drop Foot AFO Brace
The Boxia Ankle Brace consists of 2 separate components: a strap situated above the ankle and a non-slip hook section placed between the footwear’s tongue and laces/Velcro straps. These sections are connected by an elastic strap that provides complete adjustment of the required level of dorsiflexion (foot-lift).
The ankle strap has gel padded sections for increased achilles and dorsifexor tendon comfort and it is incredibly discreet and comfortable to wear. It can be easily and quickly adjusted to suit your immediate needs.
