Which Conditions Are the SOLE Performance Thin Insoles Suitable For?

Recommended by podiatrists and accepted by the American Podiatric Medical Association, the SOLE Performance insoles have an orthopaedic design that can provide pain relief from various conditions such as:

  • Achilles tendonitis
  • Ankle pain
  • Arch pain
  • Arthritis
  • Fallen arches
  • Heel pain
  • Metatarsal (ball of foot) pain
  • Over-pronation
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Knee pain
  • Shin splints

What Are Orthotic Insoles?

Orthotic insoles are specially designed with built-in arch support and provide superior shock absorption. Besides relieving symptoms of foot pain, podiatrist-designed orthotic insoles help correct any balance issues and can also improve pains in the knee joints and lower back.

Why Should I Wear Orthotic Insoles?

If you suffer form recurring foot pain and leave them untreated, they can be immobilising over a long period of time. With regular use, orthotic insoles can help to restore your foot function back to normal in a holistic and non-intrusive way acting as a preventative method of combatting foot conditions such as plantar fasciitis, arthritis and Achilles tendonitis.

How Do SOLE Footbed Insoles Help Provide Pain Relief?

SOLE Footbed Insoles Benefits

SOLE Footbed insoles have been clinically proven to reduce plantar fascia strain by a third and prevent pronation. The signature shape also helps to improve posture, stability and athletic performance while reducing the risk of injury.

How Can the SOLE Performance Insoles Help with Alignment?

The mouldable orthopaedic shape of these sustainable insoles equalise pressure distribution and optimise the natural motion of both your feet and ankles to treat overpronation and supination to keep you in a neutral position. The metatarsal support pad relieves pain and pressure in the ball of the foot by lifting toe bones into natural alignment.

Heat and Wear Mouldable for a Customised Fit

To ensure you get the perfect fit and maximum benefits, every pair of SOLE custom footbeds have a mouldable orthopaedic base layer that can be heated in an oven before fitting them in your footwear. You can also mould them by removing the factory sock liners from your footwear and replacing them with your SOLE Footbed insoles that will adapt to your unique contours after a few days of regular use.

Sole Footbed Insoles Mouldable

  1. Heat in the oven for 2 minutes at 90°C (200°F)
  2. Place the insoles in your shoes
  3. Step into your shoes and the insoles should mould to your feet

Sustainable Insoles Made with 20% Industrial Scrap EVA and Recycled Cork

Not only are these SOLE Performance insoles designed to provide various health benefits, they are a sustainable choice that's kinder to the environment being made with 20% industrial scrap and natural recycled wine corks. They're also vegan and latex-free, making them suitable for a wider range of users.

Affordable Alternative to Custom-Made Orthotics

Customised orthotics can be extremely expensive and not always necessary for everyone with minor indications of foot discomfort. As these SOLE insoles can be worn with most slim-fitting shoes, they are a brilliant cost-effective option to prevent foot fatigue and other pains.

Anti-Odour Technology For Odour Control

The recycled cork used in the SOLE Performance Insoles are moisture-wicking to prevent sweaty feet and they're made with Polygiene technology for active odour control.

Insoles That Go a Step Further By Helping a Charity

These performance insoles are designed in collaboration with big-mountain skier Chris Davenport, and $1 from every pair purchased goes to Protect Our Winters.

Our Guide to Finding the Perfect Size and Fit

Using Your Shoe Size

For most of our insoles, the easiest way to find the best size for you is to go off of your current shoe size. The majority of our insoles are available in a range of sizes and you can simply select the size that best fits your existing shoes.

Please be aware that, as with shoes, there can be slight variations in the size of insoles. For example a size 8 of one brand might not be exactly the same size and width as the size 8 of another. To help account for these discrepancies, a number of our insoles include dimensions to help you ensure you're getting the right size.

Measuring Your Current Insoles

While using your shoe size to find your best size is a good guide, it is not always foolproof. If you want to guarantee that your insole fit your shoes as closely as possible, we recommend measuring your existing insole and using this as a guide to your size.

To do this, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Remove the existing insole from the shoes you wish to use your new insoles with (please note that not all insoles are removable)
  2. Measure the insoles at their longest and widest points (see the below diagram for an idea of where this will be
  3. Match the measurements to the dimensions of the insoles listed, and choose the size that best fits your results

Where Can I Find the Dimensions?

The dimensions for insoles can be found on the "Product Details" tab (please see below) and are usually found in the sizing section of the listing, in a table. Please be aware that not all products currently have the dimensions listed.

What If There Are No Dimensions Listed?

If you do not see the dimensions listed on the Product Details tab, please fill in the form below and we will work to get the relevant information as quickly as possible. We will email you once we have the information that you have requested.

Trimming Your Insoles to Fit

To get the ultimate level of fit from your insoles, you can trim them to make a small adjustment. To trim your insoles, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Remove your existing insoles from your shoes
  2. Line up your existing and new insoles at the heel
  3. Trace the outline of the insoles against the new pair at the toe end (see the image below for an example)
  4. Carefully cut along the traced line
  5. Your insoles should now fit your shoes better

Trace the outline of your existing insoles
Carefully trace the outline of your insole

Please note that not all insoles are suitable for trimming. Most insoles are unsuitable for return once they have been trimmed to fit; we recommend bearing this in mind prior to trimming.
