Formthotics Comfort Firm Density Charcoal 3/4 Length Insoles

The  Formthotics Comfort High Density Red 3/4 Length Insoles provide a hard, semi-rigid orthotic support to help provide comfort and support in hard to fit shoes like dress shoes, leather work shoes and pumps. These Insoles are for those that can tolerate a harder base of support as this insole is made on a hard base, ideal for everyday wear rather than sport.

Features of the Formthotics Comfort Firm Density Charcoal 3/4 Length Insoles

These insoles utilise Formax Foam, made from a range of high grade proprietary thermo-formable polyolefin closed cell foams specially for Formthotics. The main foam is proprietary polyethylene foam which is firmer, more resistant to heat and will better hold a moulded shape than EVA. it's non-porous, flexible, lightweight, supportive and resistant to fungi and mould whilst also being hyper-allergenic.

Shock Stop foam is a unique and revolutionary hybrid EVA polymer foam. This foam has maximum shock absorption and cushioning, reducing impact on muscles, joints and tendons.

Formthotics can be thermoformed to the plantar surface of the foot (or on a positive cast) at temperatures and pressures that can be utilised in the therapists’ office. This is due to the unique material that they are made of and the milling (vs. compression) method used in their manufacture. Wedges and additions can also be used to customize these insoles further. This customisation must be carried out by a foot care professional.

Who Can Benefit From Wearing These Formthotics Comfort 3/4 Length Insoles?

Anyone requiring arch support and stability in their narrow or hard to fit pumps, work shoes and dress shoes could benefit from the slim line, 3/4 length design of the Comfort High Density Insoles. Their semi-rigid arch support and heel cup stabilises and supports feet and ankles. These insoles can also help with comfort and rehabilitation of certain common foot conditions like Plantar Fasciitis, shin splints and heel pain.

We recommend seeking medical advice before wearing these insoles.

Research and Studies About Formthotics Insoles

Well regarded and independent RCT trials have validated the therapeutic effects of Formthotics in treating and preventing problems. Independent research has proven that customised Formthotics improve postural stability immediately and at 6 weeks follow up (and the improvements in function remained when the subjects were not standing on the devices).

Recent scientific literature indicates that orthotics have significant effects on balance, stability and the EMG activity of various muscles. It is also stated that orthotics change the afferent input on the nervous system, as well as efferent neural signals going to the various muscles.
