Formthotics Sportboot Low Profile Full Length Insoles
The Formthotics Sportboot Low Profile Full Length Insoles provide an effective orthotic solution specifically designed for sports boots or shoes with studs, blades, or spikes. The unique dual density construction protects feet from stud pressure, providing optimal forefoot and heel cushioning and relieving pressure points. The low profile design allows it to fit easily and comfortably inside narrow sports boots.
Features of the Formthotics Sportboot Low Profile Full Length Insoles
The Sportboot Low Profile Full Length Insoles utilise Formax Foam, which is made from a range of high grade proprietary thermo-formable polyolefin closed cell foams created specially for Formthotics. The main foam is proprietary polyethylene foam which is firmer and more resistant to heat and will hold a moulded shape better than EVA. It's non-porous, flexible, lightweight, supportive and resistant to fungi and mould whilst also being hyper-allergenic.
Shock Stop foam is also utilised. A totally unique and revolutionary hybrid EVA polymer foam, it has maximum shock absorption and cushioning, reducing impact on muscles, joints and tendons.
Formthotics provide the 3 degrees of customisation required to meet the definition of foot orthoses. The insoles can be thermoformed to the plantar surface of the foot (or on a positive cast) at temperatures and pressures that can be utilised in the therapists’ office.
This is due to the unique material that they are made of and the milling (vs. compression) method used in their manufacture. Wedges and inserts can be attached to the insoles to customise the shape and fit further. Customisation must be carried out by a foot care professional.
