Who Can Use the Pedag Viva Summer Insoles?

The Pedag Summer Insoles are ideal for people that are looking for the same comfort provided by the Pedag Viva Sport Insoles or Pedag Viva Insoles but with added features that make them great for warmer weather. The Viva Summer Insoles have an anatomical design that supports your feet and promotes alignment, but (unlike other insoles) they do not require you to wear socks.

What Makes the Viva Summer Insoles Perfect for Bare Feet?

While many insoles are not designed to be used directly in contact with your skin, causing your feet to become sweaty or irritated, the Viva Summer use natural bamboo fibres that allow you to go barefoot. These fibres are designed to wick sweat in the same way that a sock would, absorbing the moisture to keep your feet comfortable. As well as absorbing sweat, bamboo fibres are known to prevent the growth of bacteria, which keeps your shoes fresher, even on the hottest summer's day.

As more people are becoming aware of the impact their consumption has on the world, more and more people are turning to natural, sustainable and vegan materials in their clothing and footwear. Viva Summer Insoles are an excellent choice for this, being made from 100% natural and vegan materials including bamboo terrycloth and sisal hemp fibre.

What Are the Benefits of the Materials Used?

• Bamboo Terrycloth: As well as being soft and comfortable against skin, bamboo fibres are six times more absorbent than cotton and are also naturally antimicrobial. Bamboo is a renewable resource that grows quickly, uses little water, requires no pesticides and is biodegradable – a huge advantage for the environment over alternative materials.

• Sisal Hemp Padding: Sisal is a plant-based fibre that is made from the leaves of the agave plant. By pressing Sisal fabric together, it creates an elastic structure that allows air to circulate in the shoe and comfortably cushions the foot.

How Do I Keep These Insoles Fresh?

While the Viva Summer Insoles are antibacterial, but in order to keep them at their very best we recommend cleaning them periodically. This should be done by hand ONLY, as machine washing can damage the special glue used in the insoles. As well as being suitable for hand washing, you can use the Pedag Active Fresh Deodorant to keep the insoles at their optimal level of freshness.

Pedag are very proud of their German routes and they have been hand-crafting insoles in Germany since 1955. All of their insoles are manufactured in an area near Berlin called Königs Wusterhausen – supporting local jobs and ensuring a fair wage for every pair that is made.

This product is normally dispatched by Royal Mail. The normal delivery expectation of this service is 1 to 3 working days.

When ordering before 2.00pm (Monday to Friday), your item will usually be dispatched the same working day.

We offer free delivery on all orders of £40.00 and over. On orders below £40.00, a £3.95 delivery charge is applied.

Our Guide to Finding the Perfect Size and Fit

Using Your Shoe Size

For most of our insoles, the easiest way to find the best size for you is to go off of your current shoe size. The majority of our insoles are available in a range of sizes and you can simply select the size that best fits your existing shoes.

Please be aware that, as with shoes, there can be slight variations in the size of insoles. For example a size 8 of one brand might not be exactly the same size and width as the size 8 of another. To help account for these discrepancies, a number of our insoles include dimensions to help you ensure you're getting the right size.

Measuring Your Current Insoles

While using your shoe size to find your best size is a good guide, it is not always foolproof. If you want to guarantee that your insole fit your shoes as closely as possible, we recommend measuring your existing insole and using this as a guide to your size.

To do this, please follow the steps outlined below:

1. Remove the existing insole from the shoes you wish to use your new insoles with (please note that not all insoles are removable)
2. Measure the insoles at their longest and widest points (see the below diagram for an idea of where this will be
3. Match the measurements to the dimensions of the insoles listed, and choose the size that best fits your results

Where Can I Find the Dimensions?

The dimensions for insoles can be found on the "Product Details" tab (please see below) and are usually found in the sizing section of the listing, in a table. Please be aware that not all products currently have the dimensions listed.

Trimming Your Insoles to Fit

To get the ultimate level of fit from your insoles, you can trim them to make a small adjustment. To trim your insoles, simply follow the steps below:

1. Remove your existing insoles from your shoes
2. Line up your existing and new insoles at the heel
3. Trace the outline of the insoles against the new pair at the toe end (see the image below for an example)
4. Carefully cut along the traced line
5. Your insoles should now fit your shoes better

Please note that not all insoles are suitable for trimming. Most insoles are unsuitable for return once they have been trimmed to fit; we recommend bearing this in mind prior to trimming.
