We recommend seeking medical advice before wearing these insoles.
Features of the Formthotics Low Volume Orthotic Insoles
The Low Volume Orthotic Insoles utilise Formax Foam, made from a range of high grade proprietary thermo-formable polyolefin closed cell foams made specially for Formthotics. The main foam is a proprietary polyethylene foam which is firmer and more resistant to heat and will hold a moulded shape better than EVA. it is non-porous, flexible, lightweight, supportive and resistant to fungi and mould whilst also being hyper-allergenic.
Shock Stop foam is also used in the insoles. A totally unique and revolutionary hybrid EVA polymer foam, it features maximum shock absorption and cushioning, reducing impact on muscles, joints and tendons.
Formthotics provide the 3 degrees of customisation required to meet the definition of foot orthoses. The insoles can be thermoformed to the plantar surface of the foot (or on a positive cast) at temperatures and pressures that can be utilised in the therapists’ office. This is due to the unique material that they are made of and the milling (vs. compression) method used in their manufacture. Wedges and additions can be attached to the insoles to further customise the insoles. This customisation must be carried out by a foot care professional.
